The Mountain View Colts are extremely please to announce our Coaching staff:
Head Coach: Rob Turville
Assistant Coach: Scott Murphy
Assistant Coach: Billy Way
Coach Turville returns as coach of the Colts (coached the team in 2018) and brings high-end hockey experience to the bench of the Colts. He has played or coached in minor hockey AAA, AJHL, BCHL, NCAA and the Chinook League.
Coach Murphy is also returning to the Colts, he was a stand-out player for 4 seasons. He has several years coaching experience, the most recent was being part of the U18AA coaching team that brought Olds’ its’ first ever AEHL Championship; many players from that team are returning players on the Colts.
Coach Way returns as an Assistant Coach, also being an assistant coach as well as suiting up as a player in the past. Coach Way has playing/coaching experience in minor hockey AAA, AJHL, BCHL and the Chinook League. He also coached many of the returning Colts players from his time as an assistant in the Olds AA program.
During the new coaching team’s meeting with the players Coach Turville said “We are just as excited as the boys about this season and Provincials. We have work to do but we intend to get everyone pulling the rope in the same direction.” The coaches are eager about the upcoming August camps (dates TBD) and look forward to seeing players battle it out for their spot on the team.
